Override Client Edit Lockout
The "Override Client Edit Lockout" command is found in versions of InView authorized to perform onlne editing of client data. In such versions, InView reverts to read-only mode (that is, disables editing) when another instance of InView is already editing the database. This prevents editing conflicts. When a second editing version of InView accesses a client's database, a message appears telling that the editing capabilities have been disabled.
When this dialog appears, the "Override Client Edit Lockout" command becomes active. If you wish to edit the database even though another InView session is in place already doing exactly that, you can invoke the "Override Client Edit Lockout" command to proceed. When you do so, another message appears to warn you of the potential danger.
Once this message box is dismissed with the Yes button, InView's editing capabilities are restored.
