The View | Wells... command brings up the wells dialog box, within which tasks involving the selection of wells can be made. This dialog allows you to select (and thus order) data based on the pertinent well.

The "Well Name" pull down list displays the list of names of the wells in your company's geological database. But only one letter's worth of wells are displayed at a time. When first opened, the pull down list displays all the well names starting with the letter A, then all the letters B through Z. If the letter B is then selected, all the well name starting with the letter B are displayed for selection, followed by the letters C through Z. And so on. When a new well name or letter is chosen the entries of the "Well Location" pull down list are rewritten to display those wells with the new name.
The "Well Location" pull down list displays the list of well locations that are associated with the currently selected name. When a new well location is chosen the information displayed in the remainder of the window is rewritten to display the information pertaining to the well defined by the displayed name and location.
All the white editable areas allow information in the database to be modified by simply typing over the edit areas' contents. Changes made to the edit areas are however not written to the database until the "OK" or "Apply" buttons are pressed.
The "OK" button writes any changes made to the data to the database before closing the seismic lines window. This button performs the same function as clicking the "Apply" button and then the "Close" button.
The "Cancel" button closes the wells window without writing any changed data to the database. This button performs the same function as clicking the close box in the upper right corner.
The "Apply" button (editing and full editions only) writes any changes made to the data to the database.
This button is only active if an editable value has been altered.
The "Search..." button creates a search for window which can be used to select a well to display in the wells window. This button performs the same function as the "Search | For Wells..." command.
The "Previous" button selects and displays the previous well in the Copyseis database. The wells are ordered alphabetically, ordering by name then alphanumerically by location.
The "Next" button selects and displays the next well in the Copyseis database. The wells are ordered alphabetically ordering by name then alphanumerically by location.
The "Print Preview..." button creates a page-setup dialog box which proceeds to the standard Windows' "print preview" display. The information for the currently selected well is shown.
The "Print..." button creates a page-setup dialog box which proceeds to the standard Windows' printing sequence. The information for the currently selected well is printed.
The "Batch Print..." button creates a search for window which can be used to select all the wells to print or print preview. This button performs the same function as the "Edit | Print Wells..." command.
The "Batch Export..." button creates a search for window which can be used to select all the wells to be exported to Excel. This button performs the same function as the "Edit | Export Wells to Excel..." command.
The "Export To Excel..." button exports the information for the currently selected well to an Excel file, then opens that file with Excel. The standard Windows' "Save As" dialog box appears into which a name for the Excel file must be entered.
The "Export To Text..." button exports the information for the currently selected well to a tab-delimited text file. The standard Windows' "Save As" dialog box appears into which a name for the text file must be entered.
